Job summary

TRAFFIX is seeking an experienced Carrier Sales Rep to grow our West Coast carrier operations. You will develop carrier relationships, optimize capacity, and deliver consistent results in a fast-paced freight environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of West Coast experience, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to operate across multiple modes while maintaining compliance and performance. This role offers fully remote and work-from-office opportunities, with strong developmental support

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a carrier sales role.

• Grow West Coast carrier operations by expanding partnerships and capacity.

• Monitor market trends and rate dynamics to inform proactive recommendations.
• Collaborate with customer sales, pricing, operations and compliance teams.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, securement standards and safety practices for flatbed moves.

This individual will develop carrier relationships, optimizecapacity, and deliver consistent results. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of West Coast experience, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced freight environment.

Requirements

• Mode Expertise: Manage all major modes and services, and educate internal teams on mode-specific capabilities and limitations.
• Carrier Development & Management: Leverage an established network of flatbed carriers to secure reliable, scalable capacity. Foster long-term carrier relationships built on trust, transparency, and mutual success.
• Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of market shifts and rate trends. Monitor capacity dynamics and freight demand to make proactive recommendations and adjustments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with customer sales, pricing, operations, and compliance teams to ensure execution aligns with carrier strategy and customer expectations.
• Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Possess a working knowledge of DOT regulations, securement standards, permitting, weight laws, and safety practices specific to the flatbed sector. Ensure compliance across all flatbed moves.

Education & Experience

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a carrier sales role
• Deep knowledge of diversemodes, market behaviour, and industry-specific regulations
• Strong carrier network and established industry relationships
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-driven mindset
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making abilities
• Experience working in a fast-paced brokerage or 3PL environment preferred
