Job summary

Ackard Contractors in Edmonton is seeking a Carpentry Service Project Specialist to be the customer's main contact from first inquiry to final walkthrough. You will scope, coordinate, and deliver service jobs to Ackard’s standards with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

This role combines hands-on residential carpentry, estimating, and project coordination, requiring a Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent renovation experience, plus strong communication and the ability to

Qualifications

• Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent broad renovation experience.
• Experience in residential carpentry, renovation, repair, maintenance, or small‑project construction.
• Ability to assess site conditions, define scope, estimate labour and materials, and plan small jobs accurately.
• Excellent customer communication and professional handling of concerns.
• Strong organization and time‑management skills; able to manage multiple jobs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service inquiries, gather information, troubleshoot concerns, and arrange site visits.
• Inspect the site, take measurements, document existing conditions, and identify access, safety, or trade requirements.
• Prepare clear scopes and estimates and coordinate with other Ackard department.
• Act as the customer’s main point of contact from inquiry through completion; provide updates and approvals.
• Schedule and plan each job, coordinate trades, manage materials and site protection; document changes.
• Inspect completed work, correct deficiencies, and review with the customer.
