Jardeg is currently recruiting for Carpenter Journeypersons to work with Technical Workforce Inc. for the North Calgary Water Servicing Project in Calgary, AB. This position is 5 days on, 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Only local candidates will be considered.

As a Carpenter Journeyperson, you will

• Build forms for concrete
• Cut, shape, and join
• Look for and fix deficiencies
• Check accuracy of work, and make adjustments as required
• Study blueprints for work planning
• Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
• Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or take appropriate measures
• Maintain clean, organized work areas; remove debris and hazards; support end-of-shift cleanup
• Act as a work leader and mentor to apprentice carpenters

Minimum Requirements

• Preference given to candidates with a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
• Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
• Experience with concrete formwork required
• Fall Protection is an asset
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
