Job summary

Linxus Group in Langford, BC is seeking an experienced Carpenter Foreman to lead on-site crews for multi-family residential projects. This role requires strong leadership, attention to safety, and the ability to read drawings and coordinate trades to meet schedule.

You will supervise daily activities, ensure quality standards, and mentor apprentices while coordinating with the superintendent. Travel to sites as required and maintain open communication with the team to deliver projects on time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience.
• Journeyman Carpenter at 3rd/4th level required.
• Minimum 5 years construction experience.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings, plans and blueprints and convey this information to others.
• Plan, implement and manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to report project status to superintendent daily.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example.
• Provide proper guidance and learning opportunities for laborers and apprentices.
• Efficiently delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and sub-trades.
• Develop and oversee quality standards on all sites.

Location: Langford/Victoria

Responsibilities:

• Maintain company safety guidelines and practices
• Good understanding of construction schedules and the ability to implement changes to accommodate work schedule accordingly
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints and convey this information to others
• Plan, implement and manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to report project status to superintendent daily
• Good understanding of safety policies and safe work while ensuring that all safety rules are being followed at all times
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example
• Provide proper guidance and learning opportunities for laborers and apprentices
• Efficiently delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and sub-trades
• Develop and oversee quality standards on all sites

Qualifications:

• Completed high school or equivalent, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Open minded, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively
• 3rd or 4th level Journeyman Carpenter
• Possess strong leadership skills with effective participation in team environment
• Has excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

• 5 years of related construction experience
• Ability to travel as required
