Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Carpenter Foreman to lead the civil formwork portion of our projects at client sites in Canada. Reporting to the site supervisor, you will deliver quality civil work, supervise crews, and ensure safety and schedule adherence.

The role demands 5+ years in carpentry with significant foreman or lead experience, with strong knowledge of engineered formwork and the ability to read complex drawings. You will mentor workers and uphold Aecon's zero-injury culture.

Qualifications

5+ years of carpentry experience with significant formwork foreman or lead experience.
Strong knowledge of engineered formwork systems and construction methods.
Ability to interpret complex structural, architectural, and civil drawings.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

Maintain courteous and professional relationships with clients and satisfy project quality standards.
Assist maintenance in scheduling equipment preventative maintenance or repair.
Lead and mentor employees in safe work practices and knowledge.
Maintain regular communication with Supervisors and Project Managers regarding progress, risks, and forecasts.
Enforce safety policies and procedures on site to ensure compliance and safety.
