Job summary

Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys in Montreal is seeking a skilled carpenter to shape and fit school spaces. You will frame, finish, install and repair structures, furniture and fixtures, adapting spaces to meet school needs.

The role emphasizes creativity and resourcefulness in a human, on-site environment, contributing to safe, durable educational spaces for students and staff.

Qualifications

• General framing and finishing experience required.
• Knowledge of formwork, doors, windows and ceilings is essential.
• Experience with furniture and wooden fixtures a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general framing and finishing work.
• Assemble and disassemble formwork for concrete.
• Install and repair doors, door frames, windows, acoustic tiles on ceilings and floors.
• Install and/or move metal or wooden curtain walls.
• Manufacture and repair furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other wooden works not related to cabinetry.
• Perform any other related tasks.

Schedule: 38.75 h / week

Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 8:30 PM to 11:15 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform general framing and finishing work;

• Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements

• Hold a diploma of vocational studies in carpentry or any other specialty appropriate to the job class or hold a diploma or certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority, and have three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Or
• Hold a valid construction journeyman card
• Valid driver's license.
