Job summary

Golderado is seeking a Carpenter apprentice (3rd/4th year) to join our team in Calgary. You will read drawings and specs, operate carpentry tools safely, and perform physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs.

You must be comfortable working at heights, and able to work in various weather conditions while upholding safety standards and contributing to project success.

Key Information:

• Hours: Project dependent; minimum 40 hours per week, with overtime necessary during the busy season (April-October)
• Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description:

• The ability to read and understand technical guides, drawings and specifications is required.
• Manual dexterity and ability to use carpentry tools safely.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

• Completed 3rd or 4th year Carpentry Apprenticeship.
• CSTS 2020, and WHMIS 2015 are required.
• Fall Protection & Rescue, Aerial Platform, Confined Spaces, Rigging/Hoisting and Hand. Signals, and First Aid/CPR certification would be an asset.
• A reliable means of transportation is required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Education:

3rd or 4th year Carpentry Apprenticeship is required.
