Job summary

Sunshine Coast School District No. 46 is seeking a full-time Carpenter to perform maintenance, alteration and construction work on district buildings and equipment. The role requires a BC Trade Certification as a Carpenter and a valid BC Class 5 driver's license, with at least four years of journeyman experience.

Work hours are 8 per day, Monday to Friday, day shift. The wage starts at $40.44 per hour for the first three months, increasing to $40.69 per hour after probation.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified carpenter with journeyman experience.
• Driver's license (Class 5) in BC.

Responsibilities

• Provide carpentry services related to maintenance, alteration and construction of District buildings, fixtures and equipment.
• Work as a member of the maintenance team to support district facilities.
• Adhere to the Local 801 CUPE agreement and district safety standards.

The position is effective immediately and is included in Local 801 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees. The hours are 8.0 hours per day, Monday through Friday, day shift.
