Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings or sketches to determine specifications.
• Prepares layouts according to building codes using measuring tools.
• Measures, cuts, shapes, assembles and joins wood and related materials.
• Reads tender/quotation documents and estimates materials.
• Supervises site work including foundations, walls, floors and roofs.

• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches in order to determine specifications and calculate requirements.

• The candidate will be required to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• The candidate must prepare tenders and quotations.
• The candidate will be expected to lay subflooring, build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems.
