Job summary

Homestead Bay Contracting Inc in Berry Mills, NB is seeking a Carpenter. You will read blueprints, measure and cut materials, and assemble components while coordinating on-site work.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of related experience, Carpenter Trade Certification, WSIB clearance, and Red Seal where applicable, plus PPE and working at heights training. Must supervise 1–2 workers and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate work on-site.
• Train apprentices and supervise 1–2 workers.
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.

• The candidate will be required to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• The candidate will be required to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

• The candidate will be expected to schedule and coordinate work on-site.
• The candidate will be expected to train apprentices.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
• The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
• The candidate must have Carpenter Trade Certification, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board(WSIB) clearance Certificate and Carpenter Red Seal Certificate.
• The candidate must have completed Personal protective equipment (PPE) and working at heights training.
• The candidate should be accurate.
