Job summary

Brightwater Senior Living is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Linden Pointe to support the dining team with dishwashing, serving meals, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and dining area. You will work as part of a team to ensure a high-quality resident dining experience.

The role emphasizes sanitation, proper handling of utensils, and assisting with meal service, with attention to safety and resident well-being in a senior living community. Training and teamwork are key.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Meet health-related requirements as applicable.
• Maintain any certifications required by regulations.
• Ability to read menus and clearly communicate resident needs.
• Ability to hear well amongst loud background noise.
• Able to carry trays and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash, and store dishes; assist with serving meals and bussing tables.
• Work as a team to ensure safe, efficient kitchen and dining operations.
• Keep kitchen clean and sanitize according to procedures.
• Complete Dishwasher Temperature Log and maintain sanitation standards.
• Attend training seminars and staff meetings.
• Assist with setting tables and serving meals.
