ComForCare Home Care Saskatchewan is seeking Caregivers/PSWs for casual shifts in Yorkton, SK. The role focuses on personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship, with emphasis on client dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• At least one year of caregiving experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care setting.
• Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) certification is an asset.
• A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (required).
• A clear criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
• Dependability and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the care team.
• A commitment to client dignity, privacy, safety, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and hygiene.
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and prescribed range-of-motion exercises.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating as needed.
• Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with errands, including shopping and prescription pickups, using approved transportation arrangements.
• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement.
• Offer respite support for family caregivers.
• Follow personalized care plans, document care provided, and promptly report changes or concerns.
