Job summary

ComForCare Home Care Saskatchewan in Prince Albert, SK is seeking a compassionate Caregiver / Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a casual position. You will join a local home care team dedicated to helping clients live independently in their own homes while receiving respectful, person-centred support.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, errands, and transportation.

Qualifications

• At least one year of caregiving experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care.
• CCA certification is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Clear criminal record check, including vulnerable sector check.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient and respectful approach to care.
• Ability to work independently and with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, hygiene).
• Support safe mobility, transfers and prescribed ROM exercises.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating as needed.
• Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
• accompany clients to medical appointments and run errands.
• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement.
• Offer respite support for family caregivers.
• Follow personalized care plans and document care; report changes promptly.

Your Role

Depending on each client's care plan, you will:

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and hygiene.

• Prepare meals and assist with eating as needed.


• Help with light housekeeping and laundry.


• Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with errands, including shopping and prescription pickups, using approved transportation arrangements.


• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement.


• Offer respite support for family caregivers.


• Follow personalized care plans, document care provided, and promptly report changes or concerns.

What You Bring

• At least one year of caregiving experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care setting.


• Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) certification is an asset.


• A valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle (required).
