Job summary

Longevity Care is seeking reliable overnight caregivers in Calgary, AB to provide calm, compassionate support to seniors in their homes. You will help with routines, monitor during the night, and ensure medications are taken on time while delivering heartfelt companionship.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years’ caregiving experience, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, and a valid driver’s license. A high school diploma is required, with flexibility for scheduling.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills; proven customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Overnight care for seniors in home settings, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Assist with evening and morning routines; grooming and dressing.
• Monitor during the night and provide assistance as needed.
• Administer medications on time according to care plan.
• Prepare meals respecting dietary needs and restrictions.
• Light housekeeping to keep living spaces clean and safe.
• Engage seniors with activities, conversation, and companionship.
• Accompany to appointments and outings as needed.
• Report changes in well-being to the care team.

• Helping with evening and morning routines like dressing, grooming, toileting and getting dressed.
• Monitoring during the night and providing assistance as needed.
• Ensure seniors take their medications on time and stay healthy.
• Whip up delicious meals with love and cater to dietary needs with flair.
• Keep the sparkle alive in their living spaces with light housekeeping duties.
• Spark joy with engaging activities, outings, and heartfelt conversations.
• Be their trusty sidekick by accompanying them to appointments and outings.
• Keep an eye on their well-being and report any changes to the team.
• Be a friend, confidant, and source of comfort to our amazing seniors.

Required:

• Drivers license and registered vehicle

• willing to travel up to 30 minutes from home to work location

Preferred:

• Course work or certification in caregiving or nursing assistance
