Job summary

Longevity Care is seeking a compassionate caregiver in Calgary, AB. The role involves brightening seniors’ days through conversations, assisting with daily routines, meals, mobility, and light housekeeping to maintain a warm home environment.

Must speak Tagalog for our Filipino clients and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation is required, with up to 30 minutes travel from home. Prior caregiving experience is needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals with consideration of dietary needs and assist with feeding if needed.
• Support mobility and safe travel, including with walkers or wheelchairs.
• Run errands and provide transportation to appointments or outings.
• Document visits and services delivered to ensure quality care.

• Promoting Independence: Assist with personal care tasks like grooming, showering, and dressing, ensuring seniors feel confident and cared for.
• Keeping Things Sparkling: Help with light housekeeping, including dishes, laundry, and tidying, to maintain a cozy and welcoming home.
• Whipping Up Happiness: Prepare meals with love, catering to dietary needs, and assisting with feeding (if needed).
• Ensuring Safety and Mobility: Support seniors with walking, including the use of walkers or wheelchairs, and ensure safe travels to appointments or outings.
• Running Errands and Staying Connected: Shop for groceries, handle bills, or provide transportation to appointments, family visits, or outings.
• Documenting Your Impact: Record details of your visits and services delivered to ensure the best care for our seniors.

Required:

• Driver's license and registered vehicle
• At least one year experience as a caregiver
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 25 pounds
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven customer service abilities
• High school degree or equivalent
• Currently located in Calgary, AB (no international applicants)
• Willing to travel up to 30 minutes from home to work location
