Job summary

Potato Growers of Alberta (PGA) is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the organization’s finance function in Taber. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, compliance, and financial planning.

This role partners with the Board of Directors and senior leadership to provide financial analysis, drive controls, and support strategic decisions that advance Alberta's potato industry.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required and 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and audit coordination.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization's day-to-day financial operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Oversee payroll, statutory remittances, and regulatory compliance.

Potato Growers of Alberta (PGA) is looking for an experienced financial professional to lead the organization's finance function and support its continued success. PGA is a member-based organization dedicated to supporting and advancing Alberta's potato industry through advocacy, research, education, and industry development.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Financial Controller is responsible for the overall financial management of the organization.
