Job summary

The Potato Growers of Alberta (PGA) in Alberta seeks a Communications Specialist to protect and promote the organization's brand among members, partners, and the public. You will manage social media and website content, craft newsletters, coordinate news and events for growers and consumers, nurture media relations, and produce photos and videos for online and print.

This position offers a diverse, long-term role with a leader in the Canadian potato industry, and includes a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Graphic design and video editing experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe apps, and social media platforms.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Agriculture experience/knowledge considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Communications & Brand Management
• Social Media & Website Management including Content Development & Engagement
• Newsletter Creation & Other Written Correspondence for Member Group
• Collection & Distribution of News, Events, and Updates Relevant to Growers, Consumers, & Industry Partners
• Stakeholder & Media Relations
• Subscription/Application Management
• Creation of Ongoing Photos & Videos for use both Online and in Print
• Assisting with Promotional Materials for Public Education & Outreach
• Other Duties as Required
