University of Waterloo is seeking a Manager, Career Education within the Centre for Career Development to oversee the design and delivery of career education for undergraduates, graduates and postdocs. You will lead a team, align services with university plans, and manage strategic partnerships to strengthen the career-readiness ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in leadership, education or counselling (or equivalent).
• 5+ years advising populations in a human services setting; career development preferred.
• Experience leading and coaching teams.
• Experience developing strategic initiatives with collaborators.
• Experience in post-secondary cooperative/experiential education is an asset.
• Knowledge of career development and experiential learning theories.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Career Development Centre to provide unit leadership and heighten impact and sustainability.
• Design and execute strategic career development plans to support learner readiness.
• Collaborate to align CCD plans with university strategies and faculties.
• Oversee staff management, onboarding, training, and performance.
• Build strategic partnerships and manage CCD projects and communications.
• Chair CCD working groups and evaluate outcomes of deliverables.
