Job summary

VHA Home HealthCare (VHA) is a large not-for-profit home care provider in Ontario, serving clients across homes and community settings. The Scheduling Coordinator role ensures seamless communication between clients and caregivers, coordinating shift coverage and service updates.

Training is provided, with 21 hours guaranteed weekly, and weekend shifts available. Successful candidates have a healthcare education credential and at least three years of related scheduling experience, strong

  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills—the ability to interact professionally with callers.
  • Knowledge of scheduling software systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GTA and TTC routes or similar geographical areas is an asset.
  • Fluency in additional languages is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Accept new client offers and coordinate scheduling.
  • Schedule, implement service changes and updates using scheduling software.
  • Maintain service plans and ensure accurate records.
  • Communicate consistently with clients, caregivers, and funders to ensure a positive experience.
