Job summary

Tendercare Living Centre in Scarborough, Ontario, is seeking an Assistant Director of Care (ADOC) for a full-time role reporting to the Director of Care. The ADOC will lead and oversee clinical programs, promote resident safety, and drive quality improvements across the home in alignment with regulatory standards.

Qualified RN with current registration and leadership experience in long-term care is required.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse in long-term care or equivalent
• Experience leading clinical programs and teams
• CPR certification is required

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned program areas per Extendicare’s Model of Care
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality indicators
• Collaborate with Director of Care and care staff to deliver resident-centered care
• Lead quality improvement initiatives within the home
