Job summary

TELUS Health Downtown Vancouver is seeking a fitness and wellness professional to provide coverage at a corporate wellness centre during team member vacations and other absences. You will support daily operations and create a welcoming experience for members.

This on-site role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lead fitness activities within your qualifications, including CPR/First Aid, with opportunities to contribute to wellness initiatives and program promotion.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required.
• Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness, Health Promotion, Workplace Wellness, or related field is preferred.
• Current group fitness instructor and personal training certifications are assets.
• Experience working in a wellness/fitness centre is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide front desk coverage, welcome members, and respond to inquiries.
• Complete facility walkthroughs, monitor supplies, and report facility or equipment concerns.
• Support safe centre operations and follow established emergency procedures.
• Track attendance, promote programming, and support wellness initiatives.
• Provide equipment orientations and coordinate scheduled fitness activities.
• Lead fitness classes or wellness breaks as needed and within your qualifications.
