Job summary

Telus Health Sky in Calgary seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to deliver preventive, precision health care using advanced diagnostics and data analytics.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized wellness plans, conduct complex health reviews, and support youth and LifePlus programs while operating in a flexible, contractor setting at TELUS Health Sky.

Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing - NP degree or equivalent.
• Current registration as a practicing Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta.
• Active, unrestricted provincial license with prescribing and/or lab numbers.
• Interest in preventive, longevity and/or functional medicine.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual health reviews, assess imaging contraindications, and order advanced diagnostics.
• Consolidate diagnostic results into comprehensive health assessments and actionable wellness strategies.
• Guide clients through reviews of imaging and biomarker results, explaining incidental findings and follow-up with primary care providers.
• Partner with the Precision Health team to develop and implement personalized wellness plans.
• Support Kids and Youth panels with annual health assessments and ongoing care.
• Provide episodic care to LifePlus patients.

• Schedule: Flexible, up to 40 hours per week

What you’ll do:

• Conduct thorough virtual health reviews, assess imaging contraindications, and order advanced diagnostics (MRI, DEXA, genetic testing, and specialized lab work) performed in our state-of-the-art facility.
• Consolidate diagnostic results using advanced digital tools, synthesizing findings into comprehensive health assessments and actionable wellness strategies.
• Guide clients through detailed reviews of imaging and biomarker results, explaining incidental findings and helping them navigate follow-up with their primary care providers when necessary.
• Partner with our multidisciplinary Precision Health team to develop and implement personalized client wellness plans.
• Support our Kids and Youth panels with annual health assessments and ongoing care.
• Providing episodic care to LifePlus patients.

What you bring:

• Masters of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree or equivalent
• Current registration as a practicing Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• Active, unrestricted provincial license(s) with prescribing and/or lab numbers
• An interest in Preventive, Longevity and/or Functional Medicine

Preferred

• 5+ years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care preferred, or extensive clinical background as a Registered Nurse.
• Formal training, certification or experience in Precision, longevity and/or functional medicine a significant asset
• A positive, solution-based and innovative mindset, open to the perspective of others
• Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary team members and clients
• Proficiency in technology-supported care, including familiarity with EMRs
• Commitment to delivering comprehensive client-centered care with a focus on an exceptional customer experience
