Home Instead in the UK is seeking Care Assistants to join our team in East Fife, available for evenings and/or weekends. You will provide care and companionship with minimum 1-hour visits and benefit from award-winning training to help clients stay independent at home.

We offer full induction, excellent pay (£13.00 per hour), mileage contribution and a refer-a-friend scheme. Only driver positions are currently available; you must have a valid licence and own car.

Qualifications

• You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Assistant; full training is given.

Responsibilities

• Minimum 1-hour visits to clients.
• Introduce yourself to new clients and ensure continuity of care.
• Provide companionship and social interaction.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Accompany clients to appointments or shopping.
• Support personal care to help clients stay healthy and independent.

What are the Responsibilities:

• Minimum 1-hour visits
• Introductions to all new clients
• Visiting the same Clients for continuity of care and to allow you to build up a meaningful relationship
• Companionship- ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit
• Help with everyday tasks such as; meal preparation and light housework
• Accompanying to appointments or shopping
• Personal Care - Supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent.

Qualifications

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Assistantas full training is given. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience.
