Job summary

Home Instead in Campbell River, BC is seeking caring individuals for a part-time caregiver role. You will provide companionship and everyday support to help clients stay safe and independent at home, with no prior caregiving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement for clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with medication reminders and ensuring clients take medications on schedule.
• Accompany clients to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Provide dementia and Alzheimer's support and patient-centered care.
• Help with personal care and mobility tasks to promote independence.
• Create a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.

Requirements Upon Hiring

Successful Candidates Must Provide

• A completed TB skin test with acceptable results
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• A valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and current automobile insurance
