Job summary

WELL Health Diagnostic Centres is seeking a Cardiology Technologist to perform ECG and other cardiac testing procedures, ensuring patient identification, safety and confidentiality. The role requires CSCT-recognized training and certification, with emphasis on accuracy and adherence to CSCT guidelines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform ECG testing, stress testing, Holter scanning and Holter monitoring as per CSCT guidelines.
• Ambulatory BP monitoring.

• Maintain quality control and prepare reports.
• Follow health and safety policies and equipment maintenance standards.

• Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct prior to testing whilemaintaining patient confidentiality.
• Performs all cardiac testing techniques including Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holterscanning, Holter monitoring and ambulatory BP monitoring as per complianceCompany’s P&P manual guidelines.
• Responsible for inserting various types of intravenous lines and monitoring the IV treatments to watch for complications as required.
• Performs Nuclear stress testing on treadmill as well as using pharmacological interventions including Persantine (Dipyridamole), dobutamine, adenosine, etc. as well as administering aminophylline as required under clinical supervision and delegated workflow.
• Ensures all quality control assessments are performed as required.
• Takes all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation andbest practices.
• Follows procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards.
• Ensures equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
• Prepares reports as required.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

• 0-2 years of related experience.
• Completion of a Cardiology program recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.
• Current certification with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and eligible for membership withthe Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT).
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
• Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This role is for an existing vacancy. The expected hiring range for this role is from $30 - $31 per hour. Final compensation is determined based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience level, and internal equity. Candidates with significantly more experience may be considered at a higher level with adjusted compensation for certain roles.
