Job summary

Well Health Diagnostic Centres in Ontario is seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to perform ECG testing, stress testing, Holter scanning, Holter monitoring and ambulatory BP monitoring in accordance with CSCT guidelines.

Reporting to the Clinic Leader, you will join a network of over 60 clinics and contribute to accurate tests, patient safety, and timely report turnaround while maintaining high clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Formal Cardiology program (CSCT recognized) required.
• CSCT certification current and eligible for CSCT membership preferred.
• 0-2 years of related experience.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuing education and training.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation prior to testing.
• Performs ECG testing, stress testing, Holter scanning and ambulatory BP monitoring per CSCT guidelines.
• Inserts various IV lines and monitors IV treatments.
• Performs Nuclear stress testing with treadmill or pharmacological agents.
• Ensures quality control assessments are performed.
• Maintains equipment and prepares reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct prior to testing whilemaintaining patient confidentiality.

• Performs all cardiac testing techniques including Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holterscanning, Holter monitoring and ambulatory BP monitoring as per complianceCompany’s P&P manual guidelines.

• Responsible for inserting various types of intravenous lines and monitoring the IV treatments to watch for complications as required.

•Performs Nuclear stress testing on treadmill as well as using pharmacological interventions including Persantine (Dipyridamole), dobutamine, adenosine, etc. as well as administering aminophylline as required under clinical supervision and delegated workflow.

• Ensures all quality control assessments are performed as required.

• Takes all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation andbest practices.

• Follows procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards.

• Ensures equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.

• Prepares reports as required.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

• 0-2 years of related experience.

• Completion of a Cardiology program recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.

• Current certification with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and eligible for membership withthe Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT).

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.

• Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This role is for an existing vacancy. The expected hiring range for this role is from $30 - $35 per hour. Final compensation is determined based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience level, and internal equity. Candidates with significantly more experience may be considered at a higher level with adjusted compensation for certain roles.
