Qualifications

• 4000 Total Time flying experience required.
• 2500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
• 2000 hours Multi-Pilot In Command (MPIC).
• Dash8 PPC that has not expired for more than 24 months.
• BC flying experience is a great asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate Dash 8‑300 aircraft safely and efficiently throughout Northern Canada as PIC.
• Stay current with flight information including weather and applicable NOTAMs.

Job Overview

As a Dash 8 Captain with Summit Air, you are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft while prioritizing customer service and safety for our clients. Summit Air is headquartered in Yellowknife, NWT, and operates across Canada. The base for this position is located in Vancouver, BC.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate Dash 8‑300 aircraft safely and efficiently throughout Northern Canada as PIC.
• Stay current with all available flight information, including weather, and applicable NOTAMs, and verify type‑A flight plans for accuracy.
• Participate in aircraft pre‑flight inspection, as well as all post‑flight duties.

• 4000 Total Time
• 2500 PIC
• 2000 MPIC
• BC flying experience is a great asset.
• Dash8 PPC that has not expired for more than 24 months.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety culture.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment drug & alcohol testing requirements.
