Job summary

Pilot Assessments in Calgary, Alberta invites qualified pilots to join as a Dash 8 crewmember. You will partner with the Captain to operate safely, perform meticulous pre-flight planning, and maintain CRM and strong decision-making throughout all phases of flight.

The role requires 1000 total hours, 500 multi-engine hours, and licenses including IATRA, IR, ME with Class 1 medical. Training for Dash 8BC type rating is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Total flight time of 1000 hours.
• Multi-engine time, 500 hours minimal.
• Type rating not required – training provided.
• Licenses: IATRA, IR, ME.
• Accepted licenses: TCCA.
• Medical: Class 1.
• ICAO ELP level: 4.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Captain to operate the Dash 8 safely and efficiently.
• Lead pre-flight planning: weather, NOTAMs, performance, and weight-and-balance calculations.
• Exercise disciplined CRM, clear communication, and sound decision-making from pushback to parking.
• Execute precise departures, approaches and landings with high situational awareness.
• Uphold a proactive safety culture and report hazards.
• Deliver a professional, passenger-focused experience and represent the brand with integrity.

• Lead meticulous pre-flight planning, including weather, NOTAMs, performance, and weight‑and‑balance calculations.
• Exercise disciplined CRM, clear communication, and sound decision‑making from pushback to parking.
• Execute precise departures, approaches, and landings while maintaining high situational awareness in varying weather and terrain.
• Uphold a proactive safety culture, reporting hazards and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Deliver a professional, passenger‑focused experience and represent the brand with integrity.

Minimum requirements

• Total time: 1000 hours
• Multi‑engine: 500 hours
• Type rating: Not required — training provided
• Licenses required: IATRA, IR, ME
• Accepted licenses: TCCA
• Medical: Class 1
• ICAO ELP level: 4

Preferred

• Current type rating on the Dash 8BC
• Recent mountain flying experience
