Job summary

Atura Power seeks a Project/Outage Manager to lead capital projects and outages for its Ontario facilities, reporting to the Manager – Projects and Outages within Asset Management. The role requires a strong technical foundation in engineering and proven project management skills.

The successful candidate will coordinate with maintenance, operations, and external contractors, develop execution plans, manage schedules and budgets, and travel up to 65% within Ontario as needed.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering; P.Eng. license preferred.
• Experience in mechanical/electrical systems is preferred.
• 4–6 years of progressive field experience in power generation or similar.
• Previous project and outage management experience.
• PM certification is an asset.
• Proficiency with PC-based tools including Maximo, MS Office, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of capital and expense projects.
• Perform outage management for plant outages.
• Develop investment valuations, cost estimates, risk analyses, and design work.
• Review engineering design documentation from manufacturers and consultants.
• Coordinate outage/project scope, budget, schedule, permits, commissioning, safety reviews.
• Create project execution plans for schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Create outage charter, cost reports, daily reports, and readiness reviews.
• Coordinate external consultants and contractors.
• Provide leadership to advance project management tools and processes.
• Support asset management initiatives with PM services.
• Must travel within Ontario up to 65%.
• Other related duties as required.
