Job summary

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a dynamic Project Leader to guide complex multidisciplinary projects within our energy generation environment. You will oversee planning, execution, and closeout from inception to delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Projects, you will develop plans, manage budgets, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive projects to successful on-time delivery while balancing scope, schedule, and cost

Qualifications

• Four-year university degree in project management, business, asset management or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive project management experience.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, forecasts, risk registers, and change management processes.
• Prepare project documentation, including business cases, project charters, WBS, project management plans, execution plans, and approval packages.
• Coordinate project requirements with engineering, operations, construction, procurement, environmental, and stakeholder groups.
• Manage procurement and contracting activities, including specifications, bid packages, tender evaluations, contract awards, and administration, Monitor project performance, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and milestones.
• Lead project meetings and facilitate collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, Obtain and coordinate permits, licenses, approvals, and regulatory clearances.
• Ensure compliance with project governance, contract management, quality, environmental, and safety requirements, Provide leadership and direction to project team members.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and manage project communications.
