Job summary

CIBC in Toronto is seeking an Analyst for the Capital Markets COO team to support the day-to-day data loading for client reporting. You will work with large datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper organization across reporting periods.

The role offers exposure to data quality, process improvements, and new data sources, with hands-on use of Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and the internal AI tool to build financial models.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, STEM, or related program with a graduation date no sooner than August 2027.
  • Location: Toronto, Canada; must be based in Canada for the duration of the term.
  • Duration: 4 months (January 2027 – April 2027).
  • Proficiency with Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and related data tools is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Load data into the client reporting tool and ensure accuracy across reporting periods.
  • Maintain client and business hierarchies and support updates to prior-period data.
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill ad-hoc reporting needs and explore new data sources.
  • Propose process improvements and build new financial models using internal AI tools.
