Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a Capital Asset Manager to oversee capital projects, budgets, renovations, and expansions for long-term care homes in northern Alberta. The role requires coordinating with consultants, engineers, and operations to ensure project success and cost control.

The position is based in the Edmonton region with monthly visits to Markham and a flexible hybrid work arrangement. You will drive capital planning and provide strategic insights to stakeholders across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Certified technologist, licensed tradesman, engineer or equivalent.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field; journeyman trades is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years in construction/building management, project or facility management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee capital projects, budgets, renovations, and expansions for long-term care homes.
• Direct scope, design, estimating, tendering, and contract management with consultants/engineers.
• Monitor maintenance programs and provide financial and operational guidance to stakeholders.
