Job summary

Extendicare in Markham, Ontario seeks a Senior Financial Analyst – Capital to act as a business partner across corporate functions. You will manage the full cycle of capital accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring policy and standards compliance.

The ideal candidate is relationship oriented, proactive, and detail-focused, with CPA designation and strong Excel/ERP skills. Hybrid work environment in Canada’s head office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of relevant post-graduate experience.
• CPA designation.
• Strong Excel skills with large data sets.
• ERP experience; Workday preferred.
• Analytical and strategic thinking.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for capital process and support the business.
• Track project budgets and forecasts with Asset Management and Development teams.
• Develop capital budgets and forecast updates.
• Analyze monthly variances to budget and forecast.
• Manage full accounting cycle for capital projects and asset tracking.
• Maintain asset subledger, classification and depreciation setup.
• Prepare capital materials for internal, external and board reporting.
• Lead monthly capital review meetings with stakeholders.
• Drive internal controls and continuous process improvements.
