Job summary

CFMWS is hiring a Department Associate to provide retail services to CAF members and their families. You will stock, face, and price shelves, guide customers on products, and help with ordering and inventory control.

The role involves operating POS systems, handling cash, and potentially assisting with food and beverage orders while maintaining cleanliness and customer satisfaction. French essential language skills are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock shelves across departments; ensure pricing and signing are accurate.
• Provide guidance on sales and products; address customer concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with ordering products and pricing new inventory.
• Operate Points of Sale systems, debit/credit machines, and manage cash float.
• Support additional services such as dry cleaning, lottery, self-serve gas, and postal services when required.

THE ROLE

As a Department Associate, you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You assist in the set-up of various departments ensuring shelves are stocked, and faced, and properly signed. You provide technical and professional guidance on sales and products and deal with customer concerns or complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. You assist with ordering products and price new inventory.

The Department Associate may also provide a variety of other retail services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, and postal services. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine, and maintain a float. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.
