Job summary

Walmart in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking a supervisor to assist in leading overnight stocking teams and department processes. Responsibilities

• Directs tasks with priorities set by the General Merchandise Coach and Store Management Team.
• Monitors department presentation and merchandising, noting deficiencies and executing changes as needed.
• Leads daily team huddles, communicates updates, sets goals, and tracks productivity.
• Ensures high-ticket merchandise and doors are secured; completes daily audits as required.
• Reviews schedules with the People Lead to optimize staffing.
• Tours areas with coaches to identify training opportunities and provide feedback.
• Promotes a safe, clean, hazard-free work environment; completes safety logs and checks displays/fixtures.
• Completes GTA/Workday tasks and supports management.
• Partners with Coaches to facilitate performance conversations and supports recruiting.

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

• 1. Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise Coach and the Store Management Team.
• 2. Assesses the overall presentation of store departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
• 3. Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• 4. Ensuring all high ticket merchandise is secured, all doors and lockups are secured when not in use and completing daily audits as per program.
• 5. Review completed schedules with People Lead.
• 6. Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
• 7. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• 8. Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management
• 9. Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.20.
