Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking an overnight stocking team lead to support leadership of the overnight stocking teams, respond to problems, and develop associates through teaching and training. Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing direction and coordinating task completion as per priorities from the General Merchandise Coach and Store Management Team.
• Assesses overall presentation of store departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes.
• Leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provides updates, sets goals, and tracks productivity.
• Ensures high ticket merchandise is secured; checks doors and lockups and completes daily audits as per program.
• Reviews completed schedules with People Lead; tours areas to identify training opportunities and develops associates through teaching and training.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard-free work environment by adhering to Company policy and completing safety sweep logs.
• Completes GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management; partners with Coach/People Lead for performance and growth conversations; supports recruiting and hiring new associates.

Ensuring all high ticket merchandise is secured, all doors and lockups are secured when not in use and completing daily audits as per program.5. Review completed schedules with People Lead. 6. Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.7. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.8.
