Job summary

Walmar in Laval, QC is seeking an overnight stock supervisor to assist leadership of stocking teams, respond to issues, and develop associates through teaching and training. The role plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational needs, also assisting on the sales floor when required.

The position involves directing task execution, auditing displays, leading daily huddles, securing high-ticket merchandise, and partnering with the Coach/People Lead on performance

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing direction and coordinating task completion per priorities from General Merchandise Coach and Store Management Team.
• Assesses overall department presentation and makes corrective merchandising changes as needed.
• Leads daily Team Huddle, communicates updates, sets goals, and tracks productivity.
• Ensures high ticket items are secured and audits are completed as per program.
• Reviews completed schedules with People Lead and coordinates staffing.
• Identifies training opportunities during area tours with Coach and team.
• Maintains safe, clean, hazard-free work environment; adheres to policies and completes safety logs.
• Completes GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management.
• Partners with Coach/People Lead for performance management and growth conversations.

Position Summary...Assists in the leadership of the overnight stocking teams and department processes, respond to problems and inquiries and develop associates through teaching and training.Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.What you'll do...1. Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise Coach and the Store Management Team.2. Assesses the overall presentation of store departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.3. Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.4. Ensuring all high ticket merchandise is secured, all doors and lockups are secured when not in use and completing daily audits as per program.5. Review completed schedules with People Lead. 6. Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.7. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.8. Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management9. Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates.
