Position Summary: The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in prescription filling and administrative duties to support patient care and ensure efficient pharmacy operations. They are a vital team member committed to delivering excellent customer service.

What you'll do:

1. Receiving prescriptions: Collect from patients, verify completeness (Name, Address, DOB, Allergies, 3rd Party info, Special Requests, Prescriber, Generic/Brand, Prioritization according to guidelines).
2. Computer Functions: Data entry, price checks, updating patient info, interpreting prescriptions, handling refills, report generation, and profile checks.
3. Filling prescriptions: Under pharmacist supervision, select products, perform accuracy checks, label, organize, and obtain approvals for refills, and facilitate cognitive services.
4. Inventory Control: Maintain stock levels, check for expired medications, organize shelves, process returns, and order supplies using preferred vendors.
5. Housekeeping: Stock supplies, keep the dispensary clean, and maintain equipment and work environment.
6. Clerical Tasks: File prescriptions, invoices, reports, and support administrative functions as assigned.
7. OTC Operations: Assist with over-the-counter product stocking, ordering, cashier duties, and related tasks.

Minimum Qualifications: Age 16 or older.
