Job summary

Walmart Canada Corp in Peterborough, Ontario is hiring a Maintenance Cleaning Associate to participate in a structured cleaning program and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

You will work with the Stocking 3 Coach and store associates, follow food safety standards and cold chain guidelines, and keep equipment and supplies in good condition for the Fresh Departments including coolers and freezers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to comply with Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines.
• Willingness to participate in in-store certification programs.

• Executes timely cleaning of all Fresh Departments including coolers, freezers and display fixtures.
• Inspects maintenance and cleaning equipment to ensure proper working condition and ensure supplies are available.
• Promotes a safe working environment by completing in-store certification programs and following Company policies.
• Cleans floors following a system of mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and maintaining carpets in non-sales areas.

What you'll do

• Communicates with the Stocking 3 Coach and cooperates with the associates on a comprehensive cleaning regiment.
• Complies with all Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines.
• Executes timely cleaning of all Fresh Departments include coolers, freezers and display fixtures.
• Assist in the inspection all maintenance and cleaning equipment to ensure proper working condition and ensures sufficient supplies are available.
• Promotes a safe working environment by ensuring completion of required in-store certification programs and work in accordance with all Company policies and procedures
• When required, clean floors following a system of; mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and maintaining carpets, including all non-sales floor areas.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.05.
