Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate in Toronto to deliver exemplary customer service and support the Deli and Bakery areas. You will zone departments, rotate stock, ensure accurate pricing and labeling, and follow food safety standards while assisting with warm foods and prepared sides.

Responsibilities include handling orders, rotisserie chicken prep, order filling, and maintaining thawing/baking guidelines to ensure product quality and appealing displays in the department.

• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
