Job summary

Walmart Canada Corp in Amherst, NS is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining Bakery/Deli areas and assisting with stocking and selling goods.

Responsibilities include zone maintenance, stock rotation, price displays, cold chain adherence, and handling deli/bakery items as needed, including hot foods and rotisserie chicken.

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels

Position Summary

A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.

What you'll do

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.20.
