Job summary

Walmart Canada in Keswick, Ontario is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining and stocking the Deli and Bakery areas.

You will zone the department, rotate stock, verify pricing, follow cold chain standards and assist with hot foods and bakery items to keep displays clean and inviting.

This full- or part-time on-site role requires teamwork in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
