Position Summary: To support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to Company guidelines, leading Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and drive profitable store sales.

What You'll Do:

1. Drive Sales and Manage Finances: As a member of the Store Management Team, drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. Analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to respond to market changes while controlling expenditures. Communicate sales results to associates and guide interpretation of results.
2. Operational Planning: Create operational plans with the Management Team; prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to Managers and Associates. Ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, and store standards within Company policies. Implement new store programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
3. Asset Protection and Safety: Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls; maintain quality assurance standards; oversee safety and operational reviews, ensuring compliance with Walmart policies and procedures.
4. Customer Service: Serve as a store ambassador by greeting customers, seeking feedback, and resolving issues within Company guidelines to ensure a positive shopping experience. Model and enforce friendly and helpful customer service techniques.
5. Community Engagement: Support store initiatives to serve the community by participating in events and developing relationships with community groups. Engage in company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts.
6. Team Leadership: Lead Associates through store meetings, communicate operational initiatives, and foster engagement. Recognize accomplishments and provide professional growth opportunities. Develop high-potential staff through training and development.
7. Performance Management: Hold Associates accountable with timely, honest, and respectful feedback. Build relationships with supporting functions like HR.
8. Compliance: Handle merchandise according to standards, including sensitive items like alcohol and high-ticket items, and manage cash controls, handling up to $250,000 daily.
