Job summary

Okanagan College is seeking an on-call Custodian to join the Custodial Services team. Under supervision, the incumbent provides routine cleaning and maintenance for classrooms, offices, washrooms and common areas, with shifts from 4:30PM to 12:00AM.

This position supports a vibrant campus community and contributes to safe, clean facilities. Minimum Grade 10 and a Custodial Worker certificate are required, with 6 months to 1 year related experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 and a Custodial Worker certificate.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, washrooms, hallways, and other surfaces.
• Maintain furniture and equipment in an orderly, clean and safe manner.
• Maintain building security.
• Maintain a stock of janitorial supplies for assigned area.
• Removes snow from steps and walkways.
• Maintains current skillset by attending instructional courses provided by the College.
• Performs other duties related as required.
