WATT is seeking an experienced transportation engineer and people leader to own the Calgary Transportation Engineering team. You will guide complex assignments, set technical standards, and nurture client relationships to grow the local practice.

You will mentor staff, shape opportunities, and help align capacity with market demand while delivering high-quality outcomes for municipal and private clients in the Calgary area.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for P.Eng with APEGA.
• At least five years of progressive transportation engineering experience.
• Experience leading people, projects, and ensuring technical quality.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary technical and people leader for the Calgary Transportation Engineering team.
• Lead transportation impact assessments and complex projects, including scope, client communication, and budgets.
• Establish and maintain technical standards, design guidance, and QA practices in collaboration with leadership.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and provide reviews to improve work and team capability.
• Provide technical oversight of Synchro/VISTRO work and guide design decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipal, provincial, agency, and private-sector clients in Calgary and area.
• Support business development, shaping pursuit strategy and proposals with leadership support.
• Mentor and coach team members to build technical judgment and client-development skills.
• Provide visibility into performance, risks, and opportunities across the team.
