Urban Systems is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer for our Calgary office. You will lead the design and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and preparing estimates, schedules, and tender documents.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage work plans and budgets, and collaborate with clients to deliver impactful community projects across Alberta. A PE license or eligibility with APEGA is required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree with PE license or eligibility in Alberta.
• 8+ years of progressive transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with design and implementation, delivery, and reporting.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Strong project management and ability to coordinate priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; mentoring of others.
• Willingness to travel within Alberta.

Responsabilités

• Lead preliminary and detailed design and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams through concepts, detailed designs, and tender documents.
• Prepare cost estimates, risk registers, plans, reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Oversee quality assurance and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with transportation practitioners to deliver integrated planning and design.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Prepare and manage work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Support business development through client relationships and proposals.
