Job summary

Luther College invites applications for a casual term Culinary Services Worker in the Luther College Cafeteria at the University of Regina campus. The role supports kitchen operations, sanitation, and food service for events, with shifts on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities include food preparation, serving, cleaning, and POS operation. A WHMIS-certified, safety-minded individual who can work independently or in a team is preferred; starting salary is $16.79 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (desirable).
• Knowledge of cleaning materials and WHMIS required.
• Experience operating cafeteria equipment such as dishwashers and ovens.

Responsibilities

• Serve food in cafeteria and at events for 150–500 people.
• Assist with food prep: wash and chop vegetables.
• Maintain sanitation and rotate food for safety and freshness.
• Clean kitchen and dining area; manage waste.
• Operate POS and process payments accurately.
• Adhere to Luther College policies and maintain respectful workplace.
