Job summary

Altea Active is seeking a Café Supervisor to lead daily cafe operations and deliver a five-star guest experience. You will coach the team, oversee beverage prep, manage schedules, and ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in customer service, 1+ year in food & beverage supervision, and a passion for coffee. Barista skills and CPR/First Aid are assets; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the customer service industry
• 1+ year in food and beverage industry as a Supervisor
• Barista experience is considered an asset
• Post‑secondary education relating to health and fitness industry and additional certifications/workshops relating to customer service are assets
• Standard First Aid and CPR – Level C Certification prior to start date and renewal annually
• Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training/work

Responsibilities

• Educate team members on delivering a five-star experience
• Make smoothies and prepare orders for customers in Starbucks alongside the team
• Maintain inventory and replenish supplies
• Clean and sanitize equipment and café areas
• Review time off requests, vacation days and prepare Café Associate schedules
• Assist with recruitment and selection of all new Café Associates
• Plan and host team meetings
• Inspect what you're expecting from the team to ensure standards are met

Pay or shift range: $50,000 CAD to $55,000 CAD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Flexible availability required, including early morning opening shifts (starting as early as 5 AM).

The Café Supervisor is a foodie at heart, leading a team to deliver top-notch food and drinks while ensuring an exceptional member experience. You oversee daily operations, hit sales goals, and keep the team motivated, all while rolling up your sleeves to craft specialty beverages. The Café Supervisor is passionate about leadership, you provide coaching and mentorship, creating a fun, clean, and safe café environment. As a Café Supervisor, a typical day might include the following:

• Educating team members on consistently delivering a five-star experience

• Reviewing time off requests, vacation days and prepare Café Associate schedules
• Assist with recruitment and selection of all new Café Associates

To land this role you need to have;

• 3+ years in the customer service industry
• At least 1+ year in the food and beverage industry as a Supervisor
• Barista experience is considered an asset
• Post‑secondary education relating to the health and fitness industry and additional certifications or workshops relating to customer service are an asset.
• All management/leadership team members are required to have Standard First Aid and CPR – Level C Certification prior to start date and must be maintained throughout employment. CPR is to be renewed annually.
• All team members must provide a recent Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work.
