Altea is seeking a friendly Café Associate to welcome guests, take orders, and craft handcrafted beverages with precision. You will educate guests on the menu, suggest items, handle POS transactions, and maintain a pristine cafe environment.

Availability:

• Openings 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Some closes 10:00 PM – 8:30 PM
• Weekend availability

The Café Associates are coffee and tea enthusiasts who relish working with people and consistently provide a five‑star customer service experience to all members and guests. They have a knack for establishing rapport, building relationships, and brewing a great cup of java! They spread joy and optimism while preparing handcrafted beverages, promote Starbucks services, and consistently improve member retention by determining guests' coffee interests and anticipating their needs. They create genuine moments of connection and exceed expectations day in and day out.

These cheerful customer service masters are passionate about working with people. They enjoy making someone’s day a little brighter, are team‑focused and customer‑service conscious. They can multi‑task among preparing handcrafted hot or cold beverages, working the food line, and operating the cash register, all with seamless transition. As a Café Associate, a typical day might include the following:

• Welcoming all members and guests and taking their orders
• Enter orders into point of sale and process transactions
• Prepare handcrafted hot and cold coffee and tea beverages tailored to clients’ orders
• Educate members and guests on the menu and make recommendations
• Answer questions regarding the menu, ingredients, etc.
• Maintain inventory and replenish supplies
• Work alongside colleagues in a team environment
• Clean and sanitize equipment and seating areas
• Comply with health and safety regulations

To Land This Role You Need To Have

• At least 1+ year in the coffee service industry
• 2+ years in the customer service industry
• Experience working busy shifts, friendly, outgoing, and dedicated to outstanding customer service
• Post‑secondary education relating to health and fitness industry and additional certifications or workshops relating to customer service are an asset
• Current CPR/First Aid certification prior to start date, maintained throughout employment; renew annually
• A recent Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work
