Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a proactive Café Manager in Markham to lead a welcoming team and deliver exceptional customer service daily. You’ll drive shifts, develop staff, and ensure food safety and stock levels are tightly managed. The role offers opportunities for career progression within a busy, customer-focused environment.

You’ll report to the Store Manager, oversee performance targets, and collaborate with store departments to maintain a vibrant café that customers love returning to.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced hospitality or retail setting.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you’ll bring a proactive approach to running a welcoming, vibrant Café. You'll lead your team to deliver outstanding service, keep stock availability high, and make sure every customer leaves happy.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Empower your team to deliver friendly, attentive service, listening to customer feedback to make sure our Café is always a warm, welcoming place to pop by.
• Lead and support your team: Manage shift rotas, attendance, and talent development, delivering training so colleagues have the confidence to succeed and grow.
• Drive performance and standards: Lead an encouraging, performance-driven department, guiding colleagues to work with purpose against all operational and sales targets.
• Keep operations running smoothly: Plan resources thoroughly, manage daily team routines, and build strong working relationships with other store departments.
